Preheat your grill to medium-high heat: 350-400F. Combine yogurt, garlic, ginger, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well to combine. Add the chicken pieces to the yogurt mixture and marinate for at least 30 minutes. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup later on. Add the marinated chicken pieces onto the baking sheet and place in the microwave. When your microwave is preheated, cook the chicken on high for eight minutes; then flip each piece over and cook for another four to six minutes, or until fully cooked.

Add some olive oil and cilantro to a small bowl: about two tablespoons of each should do it. Microwave this mixture for 30 seconds and brush the mixture onto both sides of your cooked tandoori chicken pieces with a pastry brush or spoon. Serve with pita bread and rice!

Cut the chicken into 1-inch cubes: Mix yogurt, garlic, ginger, garam masala red chilli powder and salt together in a large bowl. Marinate chicken for at least 30 mins. Place the marinated chicken pieces onto the baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Microwave on high heat for 8 minutes. Flip each piece over and microwave for another 4-6 minutes, or until fully cooked.

In a bowl, mix together yogurt, tandoori masala, garlic paste, and lemon juice: 2-3 tbsp of each should do it. Microwave this mixture for 30 seconds and brush the tandoori chicken pieces with the mixture using a pastry brush or spoon. Finally, sprinkle some olive oil and cilantro on top to finish it off. Serve with pita bread & rice!

Thread the chicken onto skewers: Combine chicken pieces, yogurt mixture, and salt together in a large bowl and mix well. Thread the chicken onto skewers (I used metal skewers; bamboo skewers will work as well), making sure each piece is touching one another. Place the chicken skewers onto the baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Bake for 12 minutes at 400F or until the skewers are completely golden brown. Take them out and serve with rice or pita bread.

Conclusion: Tandoori chicken is a delicious, healthy dish that can be made on the grill or in the oven. We’ve shown you how to make it in the microwave using a grill, but you can easily adapt this recipe for use in your oven at home.
